Funeral services for Charles R. "Chuck" Joyce, 82, of Edgewood, are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2015, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point. Interment will follow Oak Hill Cemetery in Edgewood. Services are under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Edgewood.
He passed away early Monday morning, March 2, 2015, in Tyler.
Charles was born on March 26, 1932, in Edgewood, Texas, the son of Charles Holland Joyce and Eula Mae Swindall Joyce. He was raised north of Edgewood in the Small Community. Chuck attended school at Small in his earlier years and later graduated from Edgewood High School. On November 2, 1951, he married Patricia Ann Jones in Edgewood. Chuck was self-employed as a carpenter all his life and in his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Eula Mae Joyce and wife, Pat Joyce on August 26, 2007.
Chuck is survived by two sons, Rick Joyce & special friend, Natalie, of Edgewood and Steve Joyce, of Emory; five grandchildren, Scott Joyce & wife, Paige, Melanie Garcia & husband, Jose, Jamie Cooper & husband, James, Samuel Joyce and Sean Joyce and four great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Aiden, Kelsey and Landry.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday afternoon one hour prior to service.
