Travis Scott Murray, 47, of Taylor passed away February 27, 2015, at St. David’s Hospital in Austin after a years-long illness. He now rests in peace in the arms of God.
Travis was born May 5, 1967, in Taylor, attended grade school in Round Rock, and graduated from Thrall High School in 1985. He later joined the US Army and served in Iraq during Desert Storm as a forward observer. After an honorable discharge, he attended and graduated from the School of Electronics Engineering at ITT Technical Institute in Austin and worked in that field for many years.

He loved hunting, fishing, watching cooking shows on TV, and watching the Aggies play football (win or lose) with family and friends.

Travis was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Lee Murray, his step-father James A. Crislip, Grandmother Ruth Rohlack Murray; Grandparents Leo and Freada Krieg; and Uncle Hubert Murray of California.

He is survived by one son, Jacob Scott Murray of Elgin; his mother, Linda Crislip of Taylor; one brother, Lee Michael Murray of Taylor; step-brother Brad and Dana Crislip of San Antonio; step-sister Rhonda and Dale Motschke of Hutto; step-sister Kathy Crislip-Bellieter of Taylor; Aunt Barbara and J.R. of Vancouver, Washington; Uncle David and Diann Krieg of Lake Jackson; Aunt Kathy and Mike Davis of Sinton; cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends Ray Ochoa and Sammy Ochoa.
