Ruby Allred Stringham ERICKSEN, 83, died Sunday, August 07, 1988 in Orem.
She was born October 26, 1904 in Fountain Green, to Joseph Frank and Mary Catherine Robertson ALLRED. She married Jess H. STRINGHAM September 01, 1925 in Nephi. He died in 1928. She married Steven ERICKSEN, August, 16, 1940.
She attended school in Fountain Green, Moroni and graduated from Snow College. She worked in Salt Lake and attended LDS Business College. After she graduated she worked as a secretary at the State Capitol.
After her second marriage, she and her husband moved to Mount Pleasant. She worked for Ericksen Meat and Grocery and also the parachute factory in Manti during World War II. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Junior Literary Club, Artopic Club and Daughters of the Pioneers.
She was a member of the LDS Church and worked in all the organizations.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. William M. (Patricia Stringham) BECK, Orem; three grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; step-children, Mrs. Farrell (Margaret) MADSEN, Chico, California; Donna WINTERS, Ogden; seven step-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. DeVere (Geraldine) JOHNSON, Fountain Green, and Mrs. Earl (Katie) NELSON, Moroni. She was preceded in death by two sisters.
Funeral will be Wednesday, 1:00 p.m., Mount Pleasant First Ward Chapel. Friends may call at Ursenbach Funeral Home, Mount Pleasant, tonight, 7:00-9:00 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to Service.
