Arlene Whorrall Green, 90, of Rochester, NY passed peacefully on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the Rochester Presbyterian Home where she resided.
Arlene was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years Earl F. Green as well as four brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by her three children Thomas (Sandra) Green, Deborah (Richard) Danforth, and Dennis (Tina) Green, her sister Barbara Richer of South Carolina, her grandchildren Michael (Ute) Danforth, Thomas Green Jr., Jennifer Danforth, Joanna (Brian) Killigrew, and great-grandchildren Austin Green, Lukas & Roxanne Danforth, and Aidan & Noah Killigrew.
Arlene was born in Solvay, NY on October, 14, 1926, the daughter of the late Elmer and Cora (Kent) Whorrall. She graduated from Baldwinsville Academy in June 1943. The family then moved to South Otselic, NY in June 1945. Arlene married Earl F. Green in South Otselic, NY on April 11, 1946 and they started dairy farming in Otselic, NY. Arlene was a member of the Cincinnatus Chapter #387 Order of the Eastern Star and became a Grand Representative to the State of Montana in 1963 for 3 years. Arlene also lived in New Berlin, Cicero, Liverpool, and Fairport, all within NY.
A graveside service will be held for Arlene at Valley View Cemetery in South Otselic, NY on May 26, 2017 at 11 am. A luncheon will follow at the American Legion in South Otselic, NY immediately after.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Valley View Cemetery, Box 51, c/o Judy Forrest, South Otselic, NY 13155.
