Danville, August 17.
Christopher Grant Holland, for forty years a prominent citizen and tobacconist of Danville, died suddenly this evening while seated in his office. Apoplexy was the fatal malady.
Deceased was born in Franklin county 63 years ago.
He was prominent in establishing Danville's now extensive cotton interests and in building of the Atlantic and Danville railway, was for years a member of council and was one of Danville's wealthiest citizens.
