Born Oct. 23, 1937, in Franklin, he was the son of William and Nora (Haggard) Scroggham. On Aug. 15, 1962, he married Lois (Benefiel) Scroggham, and she survives.
Mr. Scroggham had retired from Hoosier Co., Indianapolis, in 1993 where he had been an equipment operator for 17 years.
He was a U.S. military veteran, serving in the Korean War, and a member of the Indiana National Guard.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Shelbyville; three daughters, Mrs. David (Tammy) Sturgill, and Mrs. Columbus (Patty Jean) Campbell, both of Shelbyville, and Mrs. Scott (Paula Kay) Anderson, Lapel; a son, Billy Scroggham, Shelbyville; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Curt (Diane) Perigo, Manilla; a brother, Gene Scroggham, Greenfield; two sisters, Mrs. Joe (Sue Ann) Sommers, Martinsville, and Mrs. Lester (Norma Marie) Jackson, Greensburg; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, with the Rev. Larry Basey officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by local veteran organizations.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
