Marie S. Jones (nee Johnson), 49, of Fairfield Township died Sunday in Cooper University Medical Center, Camden. Born in Bridgeton, daughter of Ann (nee Carney) Johnson and the late Paul Thomas Johnson, she was a lifelong area resident.
A 1968 graduate of Bridgeton High School, she attended beautician school in Vineland, and worked in that profession. She had been employed as a security guard in the casino industry in Atlantic City and was a member of the Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape Indian Center in Bridgeton. She enjoyed oil painting.
Also surviving are a daughter Katina, of Millville, a son, Albert Jr., of Fairfield Township; five brothers; Warren Johnson of West Virginia, Robert Johnson of Fairfield, Allan Johnson of Bridgeton, Garry Johnson of South Carolina, and Wayne Johnson of North Carolina; a sister, Lorraine Gregg of Quinton Township; and three grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Elaine P. Cuff; and a brother, Thomas Paul Johnson. Services will be private. Arrangements are by the Freitag Funeral Home, Bridgeton.
