STEFFEN SERVICES WIL BE SATURDAY
Services for Mrs. Augusta Steffen a resident of Hastings for more than 35 years, who died Wednesday in an Omaha Hospital, will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Livingston-Butler-Volland Chapel. The Rev. Paul M. de Freeze, pastor of the First St. Paul's Lutheran Church will officiate and burial will be in Parkview Cemetery.
Mrs. Steffen, who was 94 years of age at the time of her death, was the widow of Charles Steffen. She had resided in Omaha the past year. Born in Germany, March 7, 1859, she came to Nebraska about 40 years ago.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Fred Kohl and Mrs. Madeline St. John of Omaha ad Ida Krueger of Long Beach, California; two sons, William Steffen of Scottsbulff and Edward of Hastings; a step son, Fred of Hastings, 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

MRS STEFFAN HAS LIVED 97 YEARS
Mrs. Augusta Steffen, who lived at 314 1/2 south Lexington was 97 years old Wednesday.
Mrs. Steffen, although born in Germany, has spent a good many years in Adams County and Hastings and for the past 5 yers has lived at her present address.
Her near neighbors and other friends remembered her on her birthday with greetings and gifts and Mrs. Steffen spent the day recalling some of the outstanding events in her near half century lifetime and "just resting." She is in frail health, but "certainly not bed-ridden by any means!" She declares.

Augusta Caroline Therese Wallner was born March 7, 1865 in Bialoslow, Posen, Prussia (Germany) and died February 20, 1954 in Omaha, Nebraska. She married Charles T. Steffen on March 15, 1883 in Webster County, Nebraska.
