Nathan was a graduate of Kankakee Valley High School, class of 2007. On October 5, 2013, in DeMotte he married Amber L. Gooden, who survives. Nathan worked as a carpenter with Local 1005. He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in DeMotte. Nathan loved spending time camping, fishing, hunting, and spending time on Rockville Lake.
