He was born on June 1, 1957, the son of the late George and Katherine (Testa) Loomis. John was an avid sports fan, his favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys and the Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed playing video games and listening to music.
He is survived by a brother David Loomis of Plantsville , two nieces, Taylor Danko of Southington and Katherine Loomis of Plantsville, a great nephew Finn McKight Miller, several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother James Loomis.
