WAUKEE, IA. - Ilia Gardiner, 80, of Waukee died of a heart ailment Friday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital In Des Moines. Services will bo at 10 a.m. Monday at Fisher Funeral Home In Adel. Burial will be in Waukee Cemetery.
Mrs. Gardiner was born in Williamson and lived in Waukee for 45 years. She had worked for K mart in Des Moines. She was a member of Waukee Christian Church and Christian Women's Fellowship.
Surviving are a son, Dan of Waukee; two daughters, Flora Slycord and Phyllis Weil, both of Adel; two brothers, Warren Dachenbach and Lowell Dachenbach, both of Chariton; a sister, Lola Mantich of Omaha, Neb.; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will meet with friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be made to her church or the Waukee First Responders.
