OBIT OF LEVI MARKHAM
The remains of the late Levi Markham were brought here from the home of his daughter, Mrs. J.A. Rigsbee, at Green Level and were interred at the Proctor burying place, about 2 miles from the city, Tuesday morning. Quite a large number of friends attended the funeral.

Mr. Markham was 83 years of age and lived in this section for a number of years. He leaves 4 children as follows; H.R. Markham, this county, Mrs. Fidelia Herndon, of Durham; Mrs. Sallie Rigsbee and W.J. Markham, of Green Level. He had a large family connection. *Source-The Durham recorder, January 04, 1907
