Kay Thomas, 70, of Waukee died of a respiratory ailment Thursday at home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Fisher-Aldrich Funeral Home in Waukee, with burial at Waukee Cemetery.
mrs. Thomas was born in Ottumwa and had lived in Des Moines before moving to Waukee 36 years ago. She was a homemaker and enjoyed camping and fishing.
Surviving are her husband, Sam; a son, Mike of Woodbury, Minn.; a daughter, Deb Anderson of Waukee; a brothers, James Williams of Maryland; four sisters, Marilyn Bissell, Leota Shelburg and Florence Knapp, all of Des Moines, and Nora Young of Ottumwa; and five grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waukee.
