Alice Henderson, 86, joined her husband in Heaven on Sunday, July 24, 2016. She was born April 22, 1930 to Fred and Lillian Newman in Albia, IA.
Alice married Gerald (Suss) Henderson on September 3, 1947. They lived in Des Moines, IA until 1963 when they moved to Waukee, IA. Gerald entered into Heaven in 2007. Alice moved to the Eastern Star Home in 2012, where she resided until her death.
Alice is survived by her daughters Linda Latimer and Candy Henderson of Boone; daughter-in-law, Vicki Henderson of Waukee; grandchildren Shawn Latimer, Jason Henderson and Natalie (Adam) Wilson; and four great grandchildren; Noah Henderson, Jasper and Avery Wilson and Adelyn Latimer. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gerald, son Rick and son-in-law Jim Latimer.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 28, 2016 from noon up to the funeral service time at 1:00 p.m., both at Ernst Funeral Home in Waukee. Burial will be at a later date at the Waukee Cemetery.
