Coleen Ann Soper, 73, of Winterset died April 27, 2005, at Mercy Hosice in Johnston.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 30, at St. John's Catholic Church in rural Adel. Burial was at Walnut Township Cemetery in Waukee.

Coleen Soper was born April 28, 1931, to Harold and Elizabeth (Wester) Hodson and was a graduate of Adel High School. During her working career, she was employed as a secretary to the Secretary of Agriculture, managing editor of the Des Moines Register and Tribune and in the president's office at Iowa State Teacher's College. She also worked as an office manager for the Iowa Association of Municipal Utilities.
