Born Jan. 15, 1953, in Holden, she was a daughter of Bishop Rocine Jackson and the late Walter Jackson Sr.
Deb was a Logan High School graduate and longtime member of Original Glorious Church at Whitman and first lady and co-pastor at Original Glorious Church at Taplin and served unselfishly in many other capacities around the community.
Additional survivors include her husband of 44 years, Leroy V. Shaw; children, Monty (Amy) Shaw, Dortesse (Michael) Christian, Melissa (Michael) Adams, Ernest (Rhonda) Shaw and Diqueesha Guest; five sisters; three brothers; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Mon., March 2, at Verdunville Church of God with Bishop Charles Shaw officiating. Burial to follow at Guyan Memorial Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will begin after 6 p.m. Sunday at the church.
