Stella Thompson, 89, of 825 Locust St., Waukee, died of a heart ailment Saturday at her son's house there. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waukee, with burial at Waukee Cemetery. Mrs. Thompson was born in Coffeeville, Olkla., and had lived in Waukee many years, where she had farmed with her husband. Survivors include a son, Jim of Waukee; two sisters, Susie Olson of Sun City Ariz., and Bea Hyland of Blue Earth, Minn,; brother, Henry Crouse of West Des Moines; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Wednesday at Westover Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church Building Fund.
