HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Mr. John Richard Weatherford, 78, husband of Janice Morgan Weatherford entered into rest Monday, December 23, 2013 at his residence. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 11:00 A.M., in the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Reverend Billy Atkins officiating. He was born in Blythe, GA to the late Luther and Eula Anderson Weatherford. He was a retired Maintenance Planner for Nutrasweet and was a member of Fleming Baptist Church and the John S. Davidson Masonic Lodge 677. Other survivors include his children, Lynn Knapp and her husband Richard of Augusta and Mitch Kirkendohl and his wife Gena of Augusta; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to Fleming Baptist Church 3027 Peach Orchard Road Augusta, GA 30906.
