"MRS GUSTAVE W ANTHONY DIED TUESDAY AFTERNOON - Mrs Bertha Ellen Dane, wife of Gustave W Anthony died at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon at their apartments, 402 North Franklin street, followin an illness of only about a week with influenza. Pneumonia developed a few days ago and hope of her recovery was abandoned early yesterday. Mr Anthony and their only son, John Weston, have also been afflicted with the influenza, but were better last evening. Mrs Anthony was born in Titusville and spent most of her life here, being known by a large circle of friends who will sincerely regret her untimely death. Besides the husband and son, she leaves her parents, Mr and Mrs John D (sic) [John G] Dane, a brother, George J Dane, and two sisters, Miss Edith Dane and Mrs Mamie Bull, the latter of Winnebago, Ill. She was a member of the First Presbyterian church, of Lady Drake Rebekah lodge and the Pythian Sisters. Arrangements for the funeral will be made later."
