PORTLAND--John A. Pickens, Portland, 81, died Monday night at Veterans Memorial Hospital, Pomeroy.
He was a retired lockman at Lock 21 and was a member of the Bald Knob Church.
He is survived by his wife, Minnie Pickens, Portland; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Triplett, Portland, 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be held Thursday, 3 p.m. at the Ewing Funeral Home with burial in the Bald Knob Cemetery.
