87 of Alpena
Nellie Fay Frazier, 87, a resident of Alpena died Saturday, Dec. 11 (2004) at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14 at the North Ark Church of Christ, east of Alpena with Pat Mannon and Steven Fowler officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13 at Holt Memorial Chapel.
Burial will be in Alpena Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Justin Savage, George Finney, Danny Youngblood, Mike Tate, Gary Epley and Frank Rice.
The daughter of Esta Eveland and Benjamin Harrison Shoe was born Sept. 25, 1917 near Delaplaine. She was a member of North Ark Church of Christ. She worked for 38 years as a cook in the Delaplaine schools before moving to Alpena in 1989. She enjoyed reading her Bible, quilting, cooking and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lanty Frazier, Sr.; her twin sister, Stella Flannery; other sisters, Ruby Russell, Jewel Flannery, Alice Murrey and Charlene Bounds; and a brother, Walter Ben Shoe.
She is survived by her son, Lanty Frazier, Jr. and his wife, LaFonda Sue; granddaughter, Lana Sue Fowler and her husband, Steven; and great-granddaughter, Ariel Elisabeth Fowler, all of Alpena; two brothers, Billy Shoe of Paragould and Marvie Shoe of Pocahontas; and two sisters, Opal Coleman of Gary, Ind. and Virginia Wynn of Rockford, Ill.
