Boyd I. Stansfield, 29, Mt. Pleasant cafe operator, died Friday. Military rites will be by M. H. Zabriskie post no. 4, American Legion.
He was born here June 21, 1920, son of Irvin I and Schrelda Nicholson Stansfield. He attended schools here and graduated from the Wasatch Stake Academy, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
On March 1, 1941, he entered the army with the Mt. Pleasant unit Utah National Guard. At the time he was discharged from the service he was stationed at Fort Sill, Okla.
He married Lois Beck, of Mt. Pleasant, June 12, 1946 at Lawton, Okla. After leaving the service he and his father-in-law, L. H. Beck, operated a cafe in Manti and in February, 1945 they moved the business here, operating it under the name of Dutches Cafe.
Surviving are his widow, a daughter, Bonnie Jo Stansfield; his parents, of Mt.a Pleasant; two brothers, Ned Stansfield, Mt. Pleasant, and Gordon Stansfield, Los Angeles Cal. and two sisters, Mrs. Betty S. Barney and Joyce Stansfield, Mt. Pleasant.
