Miss America of 1933, Big Band Singer. She won the Miss America crown at the age of 15½ and is the youngest Miss America in history. She held the title for two years as there was no competition in 1934. She went on to be a public speaker and big supporter of the Miss America Pageant. She began singing at age twelve and after the pageant appeared with many popular bands, such as Rudy Vallee and Guy Lombardo. She was married three times. She died of leukemia in Ohio in 2002.
