James A. Eckhardt passed away Monday, February 23rd, at the age of 78.

James was born January 9, 1937 to Harry F. Eckhardt & Elfrieda Brautigam Eckhardt in Fredericksburg.

James is survived by his children: Bryan Eckhardt of Fredericksburg; Kim Theriot & husband Ken of Alvin; Kyle Eckhardt & wife Laurie of Sealy; Randall Scott of Austin; Jamie Lynn Bromley & husband Bob of Franklin, IN; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren & a sister-in-law, Marie Eckhardt of Fredericksburg.

James was preceded in death by his parents & a brother, Lee Harry Eckhardt.

The family will greet friends 5-7 p.m., Friday, February 27th, in Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, February 28th, in Greenwood Cemetery.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church at Cave Creek, or to the charity of one's choice.
