Dominick Manuel Lago, M.D. was born on February 7, 1929 in New Orleans, Louisiana to John and Mary Lago. He died peacefully on February 27, 2015 at the age of 86.

He graduated from Tulane University in 1949, Loyola School of Pharmacy in 1953, and LSU School of Medicine in 1957. He served the greater New Orleans area as a dedicated physician until June 2014. He also served on the staff of Children’s Hospital of New Orleans for over 35 years. He was an avid painter, pilot, and snow skier.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his son Darren Lago.

He is survived by his former wife Madeline Pere Lago and his three children Danelle Lago Garraway, Dayna Lago M.D. and David Lago; and his grand children Kendall, Caroline and John Garraway, Anna, Bridget and Callie Dickinson, and Ethan and Jackson Lago. He is also survived by his former wife Catherine A. Lago and their children Mary-Elizabeth Lago, Christi Reeves, and Jessica Reeves.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 105 Bonnabel Blvd. Metairie, La. on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 10:30 a.m. until service time.
