Funeral services for Buford Ray Sanders, 84, of Lamesa will be held Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with Brother Daniel Armstrong and Gerry Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Lamesa Memorial Park under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Buford was born November 6, 1930 in Wilbarger Co., TX to Ernest and Hattie Anna (Kahl) Sanders. He passed away on his 84th birthday, November 6, 2014 in Lubbock. Buford married Mozelle Martin December 7, 1952 in Lamesa. They were married 61 years. He is survived by his wife, Mozelle Sanders of Lamesa; children, Jerry Wayne Sanders and wife, Leslie of Olathe, Kansas, Deborah Drummond and husband, Gary of Iowa Park, and Martin Sanders and wife, Lawanda of Lamesa; grandchildren, Samuel Sanders, Charity Sanders, Abigail Davidson, Rob Nichols, Tim Nichols, Steelie Sanders, and Rexie Sanders; and 6 great-grandchildren. Buford is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Bernice Stone; and brothers, Billy Wayne Sanders, and Don Sanders.
