ADEL, IA Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Dallas Center United Methodist Church for Violet E. Sheets Cleland, 86, of Adel, who died of a heart ailment Sunday at Adel Acres Care Center, where she was a resident. Burial will be in the Waukee Cemetery.

Mrs. Cleland, who retired as a housekeeper for Holiday Inn, lived in Dallas County all her life and was a member of the Methodist Church and American Legion auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Homer Sheets and John Cleland.

Among survivors are four sons, Robert of Dallas Center, Ralph of Phoenix, Ariz., and Harold and Raymond, both of Perry; 12 grandchildre; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at Brandt Funeral Home in Dallas Center, where the family will meet with friends from 7 t 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
