Alonzo Austin

Alonzo Austin, of Unionville passed away at the Fisher Hospital in Metropolis, IL. at the age of 64 yrs., 9 mo., and 24 days.

He was united in matrimony to Della L. Faughn, June 6, 1901. To this union three sons were born,; Lester L. who preceded him in death,; Millard J. and Millage A.(twins) of Unionville, and his faithful companion, Della who survive him. Also surviving are two sisters, Mollie Swinford and Daisy Wymer of Brookport, IL.; four brothers, Harrison of Cairo, IL.; Hugh and John of Ky.; Sam of Brookport.; Seab and Arthur having preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn seven grand-children,; Lester Jr., age 17, Norman 15, Bernice 13, Ellis Wayne 11, Wilburn 5, LLoyd 3, and Brenda 13 mos.

His parents were Samuel and Sidney Aline (Waters) Austin.

Funeral Services were conducted by Rev. O G. McClure, Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Sterling Church in Unionville. Burial followed in the Mt. Sterling Cemetery.
