Daughter of Joseph and Talitha Howell. Her first husband, Captain Hershel Price was killed in Italy in 1945. Her second husband, Henry Beasley, died in 1979. When Ida was age 77 she married Dick Chapman. In addition to her parents, three sisters and four brothers preceded her in death. Ida B. taught sixth grade at Garfield Elementary School until retirement.
