I knew your brother, Danny, worked summer jobs with him and played Wildcats football with him. He admired and loved you with all the love brothers can share. I know he missed you but was proud of your service and sacrifice. Many of our classmates from Chapel Hill High School followed in your foot steps, joined the Army and served their tours in 'Nam. Thanks for an outstanding example of how a life should be lived but we were all saddened when yours was cut short.
However, we all now know that God's plan is perfect, His love unfettered, and His grace is unlimited. Thanks for your devotion to America and your sacrifice for our freedoms. Bynie Riggsbee, [email protected].

He served as a Specialist Four with Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 20th Infantry Regiment, 11th Infantry Brigade, Americal Division, USARV.

He was awarded The Combat Infantryman's Badge(CIB), The Bronze Star Medal, The Purple Heart Medal for his combat related wounds, The Vietnam Service Medal, The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Service Medal, The National Defense Service.
