MRS. LUCY LOIS OLIVE ROACH, 92, of Harrison, Arkansas, formerly of Richmond, Texas, died Tuesday, October 21, at her home. She was born March 23, 1905 in China, Texas, the daughter of A.W. (Jack) and Eula Inez McAlpine Olive, and had been a previous long time resident of Richmond. Mrs. Road was a member of First Baptist Church - Richmond where she was also a member of the Mary Martha Sunday School Class. A retired spanish teacher with 29 years of service, she was a member of the Retired Teachers of Texas, Delta Kappa Gamma, AARP and a charter member of the White Hall-Fairview Cemetery Assoc. Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Frank P. Langston, Harrison, AR; sisters, Mrs. C.T. Nunn, Everett, WA and Mrs. W.R. McJunkin, Coldspring, TX, 6 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren, and a niece and nephew. Graveside services and interment will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the White Hall-Fairview Cemetery, White Hall, TX with Rev. Loyd Sherbert officiating. Pallbearers will be Kevin & Joe Vasina, Jason Foushee, David, Josh, Pete, Zeke and Gabe Barrett, Ben, Jim and Dan Abbott and Mike Nichols. Honorary pallbearers will be Sarah and Becki Nichols.
