Blanford - Fred Harris, 78, of Blandford and formerly of Terre Haute, died at 6:40 am Monday, March 31, 2003, in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was retired from Terre Haute Malleable. He was born Nov. 9, 1925, to William J. Harris and Delia Vance Harris. Survivors include his wife, Pat Harris; four sons, Danny Harris and his wife Marilyn, and Tom Childress and David Bruner, all of Terre Haute, and Charles Harris of Wilford; four daughters, Linda Cox and her husband Don, Kathy Garrett and her husband Terry, and Lesa Brown and her husband Mike, all of Terre Haute, Becky Prouse at home. 19 grandchildren Theresa and Earl Judy, Robert and Ronnie Cox, Laura, Tina, Jason, Molly, Tiffany, Amanda, Elizabeth, David B., Bobby, Leslie, Deloris, Lindsay, Heidi, Heather, Thomas, Robert, Kevin. 13 great grandchildren David C., Bettie, Kris, Anthony, Davetta, Carrie Ann, Levi, Cody, Zack, Dalton, Alisha, Nicolas, Suvann. One sister, Mary Barnes of Terre Haute. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Kevin Morris; three brothers; and two sisters. He attended the Salvation Army Church were he loved to help at Chrismas time by ringing bells and doing volunteer work. Services are 11 am Saturday in Callahan & Hughes Funral Home. Visitation is 10 am until services Saturday.
