Actor. Frank "Frankie" Thomas was the star of the television series "Tom Corbett, Space Cadet." A former Warner's contract player, he appeared in movies such as "Boys Town" with Mickey Rooney and Spencer Tracy and in "Angels Wash Their Faces" with Ronald Reagan and Ann Sheridan. He also appeared in all four of the "Nancy Drew" serials with Bonita Granville. But Frank's favorite was the "Tom Corbett, Space Cadet" television series, which ran for five years from 1950-1955. Frank retired from acting but worked in Hollywood as a writer for television and radio. He also became a bridge instructor and also wrote mystery novels, including "Sherlock Holmes and the Masquerade Murders." He also appeared at conventions as Tom Corbett. Frank was reportedly buried in his Tom Corbett uniform.
