Grady Wilburn Bush

Funeral services for Mr. Grady Wilburn Bush age 78, will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 2 P.M. at Calvary Baptist Church in Eufaula. Rev. Matt Helms will officiate and burial will follow in Memory Gardens with Chapman Funeral Home of Eufaula directing. Visitation will be held from twelve noon until the service. Mr. Bush died Sunday, February 22, 2015 at his residence in Eufaula, Al. Born May 19, 1936 in Eufaula, AL., he was the son of the late Roy and Irelle Teel Bush. Mr. Bush graduated from Clayton High School in 1954. Following graduation, he went to Washington D.C. and worked with the FBI. He retired from the Barbour County Sheriff's Department in 2007 as Chief Deputy after 25 years of service. After retirement, he went to work with the Barbour County District Attorney's Office. Mr. Bush was a member of the Alabama State Troopers Reserves, faithful member and former Deacon of Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors: his wife of 57 years, Mary Bush of Eufaula, AL.; one son: Keith (Teri) Bush of Eufaula, AL.; one daughter: Debbie Bush of Charlottesville, VA.; three grandchildren: Kasey (Tim) Emmons of Montgomery, AL., Bethany Bush of Montgomery, AL., Aaron Bush of Columbus, GA.; one great-grandson: Caleb Emmons; two brothers: Don (Janice) Bush, John (Darlene) Bush both of Eufaula, AL.; a special sister-in-law: Martha Helms of Abbeville, AL. Active Pallbearers: David Bush, Lewis Baker, Jason Helms, Micah Helms, Bobby Kornegay, Mike Allen. The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to Covenant Hospice or Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund. Chapman Funeral Home 334-687-3514 is in charge of arrangements.
