Mary L. (Almieda) Pinto, 71, of Fall River passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at her residence in the Academy Building. She was the former wife of the late John Pinto.

Mary was born in Bristol, RI the daughter of the late Manuel and Deolinda (Ferreira) Almeida. She served the City of Fall River Police Auxiliary Department as an officer for many years. She cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. Mary enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley and was a huge fan. She also in her earlier years enjoyed the outdoors.

Survivors are two daughters: Barbara Bliss of Rehoboth, MA; Jacqueline Pinto of Fall River, MA; six grandchildren: Bethany, Jacob, Nathan, Devin, Brayden and Brad Jr., two great grandchildren: Gabriel and Hadley; three sisters: Linda Silva of Cumberland, RI; Beverly Paiva of Swansea, MA; Rose Belanger of Greensboro, NC; a brother: John Almeida of Warwick, RI; along with several niece sand nephews. She was the mother of the late Michel Almeida, and sister of the late Manuel Almeida.

Funeral Information

CALLING HOURS will held on SATURDAY, February 28, 2015 from 2-4pm with a Prayer Service following at 4pm, in the HATHAWAY HOME for FUNERALS, 1813 Robeson Street, FALL RIVER. Relatives and friends are invited to attend, cremation will follow.
