Dennis was a lifelong Maud area resident who graduated from Earlsboro High School in 1970. Dennis also earned a two year degree attending college. Dennis also served in the United States Navy where he earned the National Defense Service Medal.
In 1971 Dennis married Janet M. Birks in Gainesville, Texas.
Dennis has worked as a utility specialist for the past 21 years for Exxon Mobil Company in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Dennis leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 44 years, Janet Cranford of the home; one daughter, Kimberly Elmore and her husband Mike of Bethel, Oklahoma; one brother, Mike Cranford of Alaska; two grandsons, Jacob Cranford, and Josh Cranford; and a host of other family and dear friends.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Velna Cranford; one brother-in-law, James Birks; grandparents; and several aunts and uncles.
Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
