She was born July 26, 1915, in Harper, Texas, and had lived in the James Canyon area near Cloudcroft and moved to Carrizozo in 1950. She was very involved in ranching and was the ranch manager for Harvey Hereford Ranch and was a former member of the New Mexico Cattle Growers Association. She attended the Carrizozo Assembly of God Church.
Surviving family members include a son, Don Calentine of Carrizozo; a sister, Dell Lumpkins of Harper, Texas; three grandchildren, Guy Brown, Monte Brown, and Michelle Montes; five great-grandchildren, Miranda Brown, Nathan Brown, Jeremy Brown, Amanda Beringer and Zoe Montes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Mozaun Calentine, and a daughter, Dorma Dell.
Arrangements were under the direction of LaGrone Funeral Chapel of Ruidoso.
