Woosley WINSTON-SALEM Nancy Carolyn "Cricket" Woosley Aug. 26, 1931 - Feb. 22, 2015 Nancy Carolyn "Cricket" Woosley, 83, of Winston-Salem, passed away Sunday February 22, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born August 26, 1931 in Davidson County to Connie Webster Woosley and Stamey Daniels Woosley. She graduated as Valedictorian from Arcadia High School in 1949 and attended Peace College.Nancy retired from Duke Power as Accounting Supervisor after forty years of service. She enjoyed the fellowship of the Duke Retirees meetings. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and the Celebration Sunday School Class. As an avid sports fan, she was especially fond of Wake Forest basketball. She volunteered with Junior Achievement for many years and was an excellent bridge player. She dearly loved all of her family, friends and fellow bridge players.Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Katie, Hubert, Harris and Bruce Woosley, Della Woosley Lippard, and nieces Janice Faye Woosley and Debby Woosley Fix. She is survived by a sister Gail Biesecker and husband Joe of Lexington; nieces Patsy Perryman and husband George; Wendy McNeill and husband Greg of Orlando, Florida; nephews Steve Woosley and wife Kim, Craig Woosley, Mike Woosley and wife Sonya; Lars Lippard and wife Leigh of Charlotte, and Eric Biesecker and wife Stephanie of Greensboro; great nieces Serena Ring, Elizabeth Bragg, Allyson and Nina Woosley, Tara Sink, Michelle and Katie Woosley, Kristie Lippard, and Cameron and Taylor Carolyn McNeill; great nephews Robert Fix, Zach Perryman, Michael Lippard, Dillon McNeill, Sam Biesecker and John Biesecker.A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday February 27, at Hayworth-Miller Chapel, Silas Creek, Winston-Salem, with the Reverend Craig Ford of Centenary United Methodist Church officiating. Prior to the service, the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow at Mount Olivet United Methodist Church in Arcadia.
