Walter was born January 10, 1918, in Maine Prairie Township to Joseph and Elizabeth (Rausch) Molitor. He married Bernice Bidinger May 11, 1944, at Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rockville. They moved to a dairy farm near Sauk Rapids in 1948 where he farmed until 1993. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, Catholic Aid, and served on the Sauk Rapids Township Board.
Walter was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Marie Molitor and Lorrella Loesch; brothers, Clifford, Victor and Francis; grandson, Kyle; and an infant granddaughter.
