Harold B. Leasure, 88, of Pickerington, passed away Friday, July 27, 2012 at Emeritus at Lakeview in Groveport. He was born April 22, 1924 in Hallsville, Ohio, son of the late Clarence B. and Lenora N. Congrove Leasure. Harold was married to the late Mary Catherine Bailey Leasure. He was a retired pump operator for the City of Columbus Water Department and was a WWII Army Air Corps Veteran.
Harold is survived by his daughters, Janet (John) Nuckles of Pickerington and Pamela (Tom) Ward of Mt. Sterling; grandchildren, Amy, Catherine and Kelly; seven great grandchildren and a brother, Howard Leasure of Logan.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son Gary Alan Leasure, brothers Charles, Herman, Ray, Donald and Glenn Leasure and sisters Ruby Williams and Carmen Bowers.
Graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 1, 2012 in Smith Chapel Cemetery, Hocking County, with Rev. Jay Moyers officiating. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard Unit. Friends may call at the cemetery on Wednesday, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Arrangements are by CARDARAS FUNERAL HOME, 183 E. Second St., Logan. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Harold B. Leasure to Harbor Light Hospice, 751 Brooksedge Plaza Dr., Westerville, Ohio 43081.
