He was born Nov. 11, 1918, in Anderson, to the late Grover Cleveland and Florence Hannah (Catt) Beher, in the same house where he raised his family.
Willy worked for 46 years as a fork truck operator and stockman at Guide Lamp, retiring in 1981. He coached Babe Ruth Little League throughout the 1960s and loved to play golf. Every year he went to the Jack Nicklaus Memorial Tournament in Columbus, Ohio, to "watch the big boys hit the ball." He was a member of First Friends Church.
Willy is survived by his children, David Beher of Anderson, Linda Farrar of Indianapolis and Debbie (Kenneth) Kraay of Anderson; grandchildren, Bryan (Renee) McDaniel, Carrie (Zane) Brown, Zachary Kraay, Jennifer (Mike) Jackson and Ashley Farrar; greatg randchildren, Samantha, Kate, Brooklyn, Lauren and Kris; and niece, Nancy Maddy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty J. Beher; and son-in-law, Dr. Stephen Farrar.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Pastor David Steinke officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
