Gail Frances Young, age 71 of Noble, OK, passed away on February 25, 2015. Gail was born on January 2, 1944 in Chickasha, OK to Walter and Mildred Start.
She was a registered nurse and retired after 40 years working mostly at state hospitals. Gail loved being a nurse and was an amazing caregiver, and in every aspect, she was “in charge.” Gail enjoyed crocheting, quilting, gardening, reading and crossword puzzles. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Gail is survived by her 2 sons, Floyd Dean Young and wife, Anita, and Earl Young and wife, Maggie; 4 grandchildren, Lauren Ross, Emily Young, Jessica Tabb and husband, Steven and Kaitlynn Young; 2 great-grandchildren, Boston Tabb and Stryker Tabb; sister, Coleen Whiteside; and brother, Jimmy Start and wife, Vickie. She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother-in-law, Sam Whiteside.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at Slaughterville Baptist Church, 10101 60th St., Lexington, OK. Interment to follow at Fairview Robinson Cemetery, Norman, OK. Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home Chapel, Moore, OK.
