Janice Rae "Aunt Tubby" Lynch, very loving and giving person, 76 of Perryopolis, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015, in the Uniontown Hospital. She was born June 24, 1938, in Mt. Pleasant, daughter of the late Raymond J. Richter and the late Wilma T. Fryan Richter. She was a 1956 graduate of Perry Lower Tyrone Township High School, a member of the Perryopolis United Methodist Church and the Israfil Sunday school class. Janice taught Sunday school and church school for many years to the small children of the church. She worked at Randall's Restaurant in Perryopolis for 40 years where she was known to her customers as "Trix" and at Perry Manufactory Co. Aunt Tubby helped with the Fireman's fund raisers, was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Western PA Fireman's Association, the Old Timer's Association, High Hatters Association and the State Fireman's Association. Aunt Tubby and Uncle Leonard attended many Western PA Fireman's Associations annual conventions along with her brother-in-law, Harold "Dyke" Lynch and his wife, Barb. She loved taking pictures and making scrapbooks for her nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She made many friends the past three and a half years at Golden Living Center in Uniontown where she was a patient. They were all like family to her. She enjoyed playing games, especially bingo. She will be missed by many. She was always the life of the party. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Harry Leonard Lynch; twin sister, Janet Faye Richter of Perryopolis; sister, Jerene Kay Zundel and husband, Robert, of Perryopolis; uncle, Ralph Richter of Elwood City; 18 loving nieces and nephews; and 32 loving great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and nephew, Donald Lynch. Friends will be received Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, Feb. 27, 2015, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the ELEY-McCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC., 334 Main St., Fayette City, PA. 724-326-5621, www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Carole Bergman officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Washington Cemetery, Perryopolis. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Perryopolis United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 613, Perryopolis, PA 15473; or the Activity Fund at Golden Living Center, 129 Franklin Ave., Uniontown, PA 15401.
