Gaylord R "Jim" Pearson Jr., 62, Kansas City, Kan., owner of an antique car dealership, died Oct. 10, 1993, in Mount Pleasant, Pa. Services held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Maple Hill Chapel; burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Pearson was an antique car dealer and owned Pearson Motors for more than 40 years. He was a charter member of the Cadillac-LaSalle Club and a member of the Classic Car Club of America and the Antique Automobile Club of America. He was featured in Motor Trend magazine. He was a member of the Wyandotte Masonic Lodge. He was a member of the Shawnee Drive congregation of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was born in Topeka and lived in this area most of his life.
Survivors include his wife Ethel Louise Pearson of the home; five sons, Gaylord R Pearson III, twins James Pearson and Jeffery Pearson of Kansas City, Kan., Joseph H. Pearson and Thomas W. Pearson of the home; three daughters, Linda Adcox and Yvette Pearson of Kansas City, Kan., and Christine Pearson of the home; his mother, Hazel Pearson, Kansas City, Kan.; two brothers, Robert T. Pearson, Olathe, and David E. Pearson, Overland Park; and seven grandchildren; and best friend Sonny Elliot.
