Wilda Mae McMenemy Borrell died on December 5, 2014 of a heart attack in her home in Richmond, TX while watching a TV show; at the time, Wilda lived alone and worked from her home. Wilda was Choir Director at the Pattison United Methodist Church (PUMC) in Pattison, TX. She was the second youngest of the five children of Harry and Bernice McMenemy, who predeceased her.
Wilda graduated from Lamar Senior High School, Houston, Texas, with the Class of 1959. She attended Texas Tech in Lubbock. Her great loves were gourmet cooking, and caring for animals and people in need. She was gifted with a great singing voice, and wrote, directed, and performed in Christmas Cantatas at PUMC.
Wilda's services were held at PUMC on December 13, 2014. Her internment was in South Park Cemetery, Pearland, TX at 2 pm on January 29, 2015, near where her mom and dad were buried. Her ashes were placed in an urn, in space 6 next to her mother; ten friends and family attended.
