The daughter of Fred W. & Dora (Briggemann) Hoeme, Irene grew up & attended school in Hooker, graduating from Hooker High School. Her mother died when she was young, so she spent time in Pratt Co., Kansas with Henry & Matilda Hoeme. On Jan. 5, 1947, she married Clyde Tatom in Carson City, Nevada. He passed away Dec. 17, 2001 in Amarillo, Texas. Irene was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Hooker.
She is survived by a brother, and preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Roland & Cecil Hoeme; and a soster, Paula Holk.
Memorial services will take place at 10:30 p.m. on Friday, May 19 at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Hooker with interment of cremains in the Lutheran Cemetery in Hooker.
