Enlisted as a Private, Company G ("Walton Blues"), 42nd Regiment, Georgia (Volunteer) Infantry, Army of Tennessee, Confederate States Army on March 4, 1862. Captured at Vicksburg, Miss. July 4, 1863 and paroled there July 7, 1863. Absent without leave, in Walton County, Ga., December 11, 1863. No later record.
