1LT Clarence Lee Sexton was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Army, 1LT Sexton served our country until July 30th, 1966 in Thua Thien, South Vietnam. He was 37 years old and was married. It was reported that Clarence died in the line of duty. His body was recovered. Clarence was born on June 24th, 1929 in New Bern, North Carolina. 1LT Sexton is on panel 09E, line 090 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for 18 years.

NOTE: He attained the Commissioned Officer Rank of 1LT before Vietnam and had previously gone through a Reduction in Force after WWII, and then attained the rank of MSGT when he passed away in Vietnam. He had attended OCS at Ft Monmouth, NJ, early in his career.

He previously served as a 1lT early in his career, but served as a Supply Master Sergeant with Army Strategic Communications Vietnam(STRATCOM), 1st Signal Brigade, USARV.

He was awarded The Bronze Star Medal, The World War II Occupational Medal, The Korean Defense Medal, The Korean Service Medal, The United Nations Service Medal, The The Vietnam Service Medal, The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Service Medal, The National Defense Service Medal and The Good Conduct Medal with Devices.
