YOUNGSTOWN – A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 27, 2015, at the Kubina-Yuhasz-Wasko Funeral Home, celebrated by the Rev. Kristy McCoy, for Gloria J. McGuire, 75, who passed away Feb. 22, 2015.

Gloria was born Jan. 28, 1940, in Nemacolin, Pa., a daughter of John Michael and Mary Horkey Kozak.

She was a warm and giving person, who could often be found working within her church, Healing Waters, or donating her time to various charities. She enjoyed to garden when she could. But most importantly, she was a devoted wife, loving mother, and doting grandmother and great-grandmother to her family.

Gloria will be sadly missed by her husband of almost 53 years, James McGuire, whom she married May 26, 1962; her sons, Jim (Denise) McGuire of Youngstown, Darin McGuire of Austintown, and Brett (Fancie) McGuire of Tallmadge; her grandchildren, Corinn (Mem) Sanders, Codie McGuire, Jim McGuire III, and Hunter McGuire; a great-grandson, Camden Sanders; and brothers John Kozak of Youngstown and James (Arlene Morris) Kozak of Youngstown.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Pauline Barketti, Dolores Kozak, Evelyn Mohammed, Audrey Vukovich, and Janet Weaver.

Burial will take place at Lake Park Cemetery.
