WHEELER — Mona C. Patterson, 77, died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015, in Shamrock.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Memory Gardens Chapel in Pampa with Joe G. Jernagin officiating. Inurnment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa. Arrangements are by Peppers Family Funeral Home of Wheeler.

Mrs. Mona C. Cruise Patterson was born Aug. 7, 1937, in Strafford, Mo., to George Howard Cruise and Thelma Day Cruise. She attended Pampa High School and graduated in 1955. She married Bob Patterson on June 30, 1955, in Pampa.

She owned DJ Flowers in Shamrock from 1984 to 1990 and then worked as a desk clerk at The Irish Inn Motel until retirement. She was a member of Thursday Review Club in Wheeler and Boy Scout Assistant Leader in Wheeler.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a son, Jimmy Moore; her best friend, Jo Rives; her grandparents, Roy and Edna Day and George and Myrtle Cruise; and a special friend, David Christenson.

Survivors include two sons, David Patterson and wife Shannon of Arlington and Dale Patterson of Navasota; a daughter, Shanda Christenson of Gage, Okla.; a brother, Larry Don Cruise and Lynda of Sherman; five grandchildren, Brandi Dougherty and Misti Patterson of Wheeler, Brandi and Dex Stevens of Las Vegas and Braylee Jones and Nevan Swanson of Gage; seven great-grandchildren, Tre McElveney and Melody McGruder of Wheeler, Kensey and Sylas Stevens of Las Vegas and Shai, Alex and Tessa Dougherty of Wheeler; her niece and nephew, Chad and Toni Cruise of Bells and Carrie and Glen Schulke of Denton; and two special friends, Dan McReynolds ad Willis Thompson of Amarillo.

The family suggests memorials be to Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch, P.O. Box 1890, Amarillo, TX 79174; or Amarillo Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 11901 S. Coulter St., Amarillo, TX 79119.
